A year ago we opened our kindergarten. Twelve months on, we got to celebrate the anniversary on site — part of our team, fifteen people in all, travelled from Germany for it.
It mattered to us to share this moment with the children and the local team. Not as a visit, but as a day on which everyone does the same thing.
A day for the children
We prepared different stations for the children: face painting, crafts, painting, musical chairs and little juggling stations. There was a lot of laughing, trying things out and simply playing. Exactly as it should be.
A special highlight was the meal we shared. For this day there was an extra good feast, chicken and many different salads included — for many children something very special. The joy was easy to feel and rounded the day off for everyone.
What moved us most
The first kindergarten group has since started school. Many of these children now come across as strikingly lively, open and confident: they carry themselves more surely, take part more actively and approach others far more freely.
That is not a given. Children here often grow up on the reserved side, learning early to adapt and stay in the background. All the more clearly you can see the difference that early access to education, encouragement and a protected environment makes.
The kindergarten does not just provide care — it shapes how these children carry themselves.

Looking ahead
The first year was an important step — and at the same time we can see how much potential still lies ahead. Next come a medical truck and a school truck: medical care and the way to school for regions where both are hard to reach. Flexible, direct, and headed where it is needed most.
