2. Statutes and the goals of our organisation

The Jona Foundation works to advance education and social justice in disadvantaged regions. Our main focus is building and running kindergartens in Uganda, enabling early years education and giving children a perspective for the future.

3. Tax-privileged status

The Jona Foundation e. V. is recognised as a charitable corporation. It exclusively and directly advances the charitable purpose of promoting development cooperation (sec. 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 15 of the German Fiscal Code, AO).

4. Names and roles of key decision-makers

The board within the meaning of sec. 26 of the German Civil Code (BGB) runs the association on a voluntary basis and takes all key decisions.

5. Activity report

Our work rests on concrete projects on the ground. In the annual reports we document what was built, paid for and achieved.

6. Staff structure

The Jona Foundation e. V. is run entirely by volunteers. There are no salaried employees, no management remuneration and no fees paid to board members.

The staff on site in Mityana are employed by our Ugandan partner organisation PMCO, not by the Jona Foundation e. V.

7. Sources of funds

In 2025 the Jona Foundation e. V. was funded predominantly by donations from private and institutional sources and by membership fees.

8. Use of funds

The funds deployed in 2025 mainly served to complete the kindergarten in Mityana and to prepare the follow-on project.

The administrative share thus came to around 2 % of total spending. All remaining funds went directly into project work.

The 2025 surplus of 57,409.15 € was earmarked for the follow-on project, the medical and school truck , and serves the preparation and delivery of this project in the Mityana region.

9. Corporate affiliations with third parties

The Jona Foundation e. V. has no corporate ties to other organisations or companies. The association holds no shareholdings and is neither a parent nor a subsidiary organisation.

10. Names of persons whose annual payments account for more than 10% of the total annual budget

Total income of the Jona Foundation e. V. in 2025 came to 69,454.00 €. The threshold for naming a contributor is therefore 6,945.40 €.

The following organisations exceeded this threshold in 2025:

All other individual contributions stayed below the 10% threshold. No natural persons are among them.
